About ROMI

Some people collect recipes. I've always collected memories around food. A neighborhood bakery in Paris. A tiny trattoria tucked away in Rome. A bustling market in San Cassiano. For me, food has always been about so much more than just what's on the plate. Through travel, cooking, and a lifelong curiosity about the world, I've built a life centered on generosity, gathering, and the simple pleasure of sharing a meal. Through Romi's Table, I share the places, traditions and discoveries that continue to shape the way I cook, gather and live.

Hospitality isn’t perfection. It’s making people feel welcome

Meet THE tastemaker

Soups may have brought you here, but they're only one part of my story. I love discovering the people and places that shape the way I cook and live; and sharing those stories with others. To me, hospitality isn't about perfection. It's remembering someone's favorite wine. Setting one more place at the table. Sharing the little restaurant you can't stop thinking about. It's the thoughtful details that make people feel welcomed and cared for. I studied Political Science at the University of Western Ontario before following my passion for food at the California Culinary Academy. Later, I completed a Certification in Nutrition and Wellness through Cornell University, bringing together formal culinary training with a lifelong curiosity about food, culture, and community.

Romi's Table grew from the belief, that food has an extraordinary ability to create connection and lasting memories. Soup became my medium because it's comforting, generous, and meant to be shared. But what I'm really creating is an experience of hospitality. Whether I'm cooking, traveling, hosting, or discovering something worth sharing, my hope is always the same: to bring people together around beautiful experiences.
